About John Piasecki & Piasecki Aircraft Corporation

John W. Piasecki is President & CEO of Piasecki Aircraft Corp., a pioneering flight research company advancing rotorcraft and UAV technologies for both military and commercial applications. Over his 30+ year career, he has overseen programs ranging from the X-49A high-speed compound helicopter to the PA-890 hydrogen fuel cell powered eVTOL.

His leadership continues to push the boundaries of advanced rotorcraft systems, hybrid and hydrogen propulsion, and autonomous flight. John is the 2021 recipient of the Vertical Flight Society’s Paul E. Haueter Award and serves as Vice Chairman of the Vertical Lift Consortium. He is also a Trustee of the Foreign Policy Research Institute and a Yale graduate with an FAA pilot certification.
