“Hydrogen and battery-electric aviation is no longer theoretical. It is being built right now, by the people who will be in the room at FLYING HY. This is the one day a year the entire global hydrogen and battery electric aviation ecosystem converges to share breakthroughs, forge partnerships, and move zero-emission flight forward together. We are thrilled to open registration and invite the world to be part of it.” said Danielle McLean, CEO and Founder of HYSKY Society.
The Global Hydrogen and Battery Electric Aviation Conference Hosted by HYSKY Society
FLYING HY is the world's largest annual conference dedicated exclusively to hydrogen and battery electric aviation. Hosted by HYSKY Society since 2023, FLYING HY was created to fill a critical gap in the aviation event landscape: a forum where the technical, commercial, policy, and infrastructure dimensions of hydrogen and battery electric flight could be explored in depth, by the people actually doing the work.
The conference is deliberately virtual and global in design. By hosting FLYING HY on Zoom, HYSKY Society ensures that engineers in Munich, researchers in Tokyo, policymakers in Washington D.C., startup founders in San Francisco, and students in Nairobi can all participate on equal footing. There are no geographic barriers to accessing the world's most important hydrogen and battery electric aviation conversation.
FLYING HY 2026 will span a full eight hours of programming, featuring over 40 global speakers across multiple sessions and panels. Topics covered will include hydrogen fuel cell propulsion systems, battery electric drivetrains, cryogenic hydrogen storage and onboard fuel management, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOLs), unmanned aerial systems and hydrogen drones, airport hydrogen and charging infrastructure, FAA and EASA certification pathways for hydrogen and battery electric aircraft, government funding and aviation policy, manufacturing scale-up, workforce development, and investment trends in the zero-emission aviation sector.
The breadth of FLYING HY's programming reflects the complexity and the opportunity of the hydrogen and battery electric aviation transition. Decarbonizing aviation is not a single technology problem. It requires simultaneous advances across propulsion, energy supply, infrastructure, regulation, finance, and talent. FLYING HY is the one event that brings all of those threads together in a single room.

From EAA AirVenture Oshkosh and the Electric Aircraft Symposium to FLYING HY: Following the Zero-Emission Aviation Calendar
Aviation professionals who are already planning to attend EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026, the world's largest airshow attracting more than 700,000 visitors and 10,000 aircraft to Oshkosh, Wisconsin every summer should also attend the 20th Electric Aircraft Symposium (EAS) held July 18 and 19 at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. You will find FLYING HY to be the next logical event for a high-value continuation of the aviation event season.

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is the celebration of aviation in all its forms. The Electric Aircraft Symposium, held the weekend before EAA AirVenture, zooms in on the electric and advanced air mobility technologies reshaping what aircraft look like and how they fly. FLYING HY picks up exactly where EAS leaves off, offering a full day of deep technical sessions, expert panels, and global networking focused specifically on hydrogen and battery electric aviation and the infrastructure, policy, and investment ecosystem that surrounds it. Together, EAA AirVenture, EAS, and FLYING HY form a compelling arc across the 2026 aviation calendar for anyone who wants to understand not just where aviation is today, but where hydrogen and battery electric flight is taking it next.
