Industry leaders such as Alaka’i Technologies, Joby Aviation, and Piasecki Aircraft are at the forefront of integrating hydrogen technology into their VTOL designs. In 2020, the Vertical Flight Society (VFS) formed the Hydrogen Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (H2eVTOL) Council to explore hydrogen's potential in aviation.
