Hydrogen Aviation Gains Academic Firepower from Embry-Riddle's Dr. Eva Maleviti
HYSKY Society is proud to announce that Dr. Eva Maleviti will join the faculty of the groundbreaking H2 Aircraft Certification Course. Dr. Maleviti, an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of the MSc in Aviation & Aerospace Sustainability at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, brings over 14 years of international academic and industry experience to the program.

Dr. Maleviti has taught and developed a broad spectrum of aviation sustainability, safety, and quality courses across universities in the UK, USA, and Greece. Her expertise spans aviation maintenance human factors, risk management, environmental and energy management systems, and aerospace waste management practices.
Since 2019, Dr. Maleviti has served as a technical expert for the ICAO Carbon Offsetting Requirements for International Airlines (CORSIA) with the Hellenic Accreditation System, contributing to global sustainability standards in aviation. Previously, she led as academic coordinator and instructor at the Training Directorate of Hellenic Aerospace Industry (EASA Part 147 MTO) for a decade.
She is also an experienced aviation consultant, providing strategic sustainability guidance and ESG reporting services to air operators and maintenance organizations. Certified as an IRCA Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and 9100D Quality Management Systems, Dr. Maleviti combines academic depth with hands-on auditing and compliance expertise.
Dr. Maleviti holds a Private Pilot's License, UAS License Specific Category C, and Sustainability Excellence Associate (SEA) certification. She is a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, UK.
Notably, she has fully redeveloped Embry-Riddle's Master's Program in Aviation and Aerospace Sustainability and authored two industry-leading books: Fundamentals of Sustainable Aviation (Aviation Fundamentals) and Energy Management and Renewable Energy Sources.
Fundamentals of Sustainable Aviation is the first textbook to survey the critical field of sustainability within the aviation industry. Taking a systems thinking approach, it presents the foundational principles of sustainability and methodically applies them to different aviation sectors, covering environmental, economic, and social dimensions. The book features international case studies, a teaching manual, test questions, and instructor slides, making it an ideal resource for courses on sustainable aviation globally.
Her extensive publication record includes over 15 journal papers and more than 20 global conference appearances.
Dr. Maleviti's participation ensures the H2 Aircraft Certification Course will deliver world-class instruction rooted in both academic rigor and real-world application.
