Professor Josef Kallo, co-founder and former CEO of H2FLY, has announced his decision to step back from his leadership role at the pioneering hydrogen aviation company. Kallo, who played a pivotal role in advancing hydrogen-electric aviation, will remain with the company as a scientific advisor to support ongoing innovation and development. Notably, Kallo was also a featured speaker at HYSKY's inaugural FLYING HY event in Grand Forks, North Dakota, further highlighting his commitment to the hydrogen aviation community.
H2FLY has earned global acclaim for its breakthroughs in hydrogen-electric propulsion, particularly with its HY4 aircraft, which became the first to complete a flight using liquid hydrogen. Kallo expressed his pride in the team’s accomplishments, emphasizing his enthusiasm to focus more on research and innovation moving forward.
Taking the helm as the new CEO is Dr. Christoph Zollitsch, who will guide H2FLY as it scales hydrogen propulsion technology for commercial aviation, continuing the company’s mission to drive zero-emission flight.
