The complexities of liquid hydrogen and its notorious boil-off challenges have long been viewed as insurmountable obstacles in the aviation industry. However, these challenges have been met and overcome in the aerospace sector, thanks to pioneers like Matt Moran, who will be the featured speaker at HYSKY Monthly on August 19, 2024.

Matt Moran, Managing Member of Moran Innovation LLC, has been at the forefront of hydrogen technology for over four decades. His groundbreaking work at NASA, where he served as Sector Manager for Energy & Materials for 31 years, was instrumental in solving the technical hurdles associated with cryogenic fluid management. These systems, now crucial to NASA's Artemis Human Landing Systems, demonstrate that what many consider impossible in aviation has already been achieved in aerospace.

In addition to his work at NASA, Matt has co-founded seven technology-based startups and holds three patents. His innovations have not only paved the way for sustainable space exploration but also hold significant promise for the future of hydrogen aviation. At Moran Innovation LLC, he continues to advance liquid hydrogen technologies, showing that the same principles used to conquer space can be applied to the skies.

"Liquid hydrogen and boil-off are often seen as showstoppers in aviation, but Matt Moran has proven otherwise," said Danielle McLean, CEO and Founder of HYSKY Society. "His expertise in overcoming these challenges for aerospace applications is exactly what the aviation industry needs to look at as we move toward a hydrogen-powered future."

The upcoming HYSKY Monthly event will offer a unique opportunity to hear directly from Matt Moran about how these aerospace solutions can be adapted to aviation. Attendees will gain insights into the technologies and strategies that make liquid hydrogen not only viable but advantageous for sustainable aviation.
