HYSKY Society Announces Funding Round for Hydrogen Aviation Start-Up NEX Aero

Dallas, TX, USA - HYSKY Society, the leading non-profit advancing hydrogen aviation, is excited to announce the successful seed financing round of €3.5M ($3.8M) for NEX Aero, a Berlin-based aerospace start-up. Heatchy Investments GmbH & Co. KG, Arno Schödl's investment vehicle, has come on board as an investor.

NEX Aero aims to revolutionize regional air mobility by developing the first hydrogen-powered long-distance eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing aircraft). With a range of over 500 km, their unique design enables both vertical and conventional take-off and landing, while being one of the quietest aircrafts during hover flight.

HYSKY Society is excited to have NEX Aero's CTO and co-founder, Johannes Garbino-Anton, as the next speaker for HYSKY Monthly, a free educational webinar held on the third Monday of each month. This announcement is profound from several perspectives and as eVTOL investors see that they will realize what value is being created. There are many barriers both technical and political in the way of the UAM dream but two loom larger then others. Namely propulsion and weather. Nex Aero addresses both via sustainable range longer then the current battery approach and the flexibility of takeoffs. Why is this important? Simply ROI. Current eVTOL range is akin to the Pony Express model of changing horses every 26 miles.
