This groundbreaking event will be held in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on October 9, 2023, Monday. It aims to bring together industry experts, enthusiasts, and professionals to explore the vast potential of hydrogen as a clean and sustainable energy source in aviation.


The Hydrogen Aviation Course and Workshop will be a comprehensive and immersive learning experience, offering participants the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the latest advancements, technologies, and applications in the field of hydrogen aviation. Leading the course will be two esteemed experts in the field, Matt Moran, NASA retiree, and Danielle McLean, HYSKY Society CEO. Matt Moran, the Managing Member at Moran Innovation LLC, brings over 40 years of experience in developing power and propulsion systems, including his pioneering work with hydrogen systems since the mid-1980s. With a wealth of expertise, Matt has played instrumental roles in multiple technology-based start-ups and has contributed to countless organizations with his research and engineering support.


Danielle McLean, founder and CEO of HYSKY Society™, is a visionary entrepreneur and aerospace engineer and a leading influence in the hydrogen aviation movement. As the first woman founder and CEO of a hydrogen aviation company, Danielle is a passionate and inspirational thought leader, advocating for hydrogen, teaching, and writing about its necessity for achieving decarbonization. She has been recognized for her contributions to AAM by the Wichita Council of Engineering Societies and received the prestigious Spirit Aerosystems Innovation Award. Her mission to advance hydrogen aviation and commitment to cultivating human talent drive her leadership within HYSKY Society™ as well as in many other areas which she serves.
